More cassettes

Months ago I’ve ordered “Mix Tape”, a book edited by Mr. Thurston Moore about… well, i guess you’ve figured it out. I almost forgot about it, so it was a nice surprise when i’ve found it in the mailbox today. The book is basically a collection of images, essays and short stories about mix tapes. People like Mike Watt, Jim O’Rourke, Richard Kern, Slim Moon (Kill Rock Stars), Dj Spooky, Glen E. Friedmann, Rita Ackermann, Jutta Koether and other buddies of Thurston Moore present a mix tape they’ve made or received.

Great book, highly recommended for everybody who’s interested in this cultural phenomenon.
