Here’s a sneak preview of one of our upcoming releases for 2006. Listen to this snippet (mp3, 352 kb) and email us if you know (or guess) which artist recorded the original version of this song and who did the remix.
Of all correct answers, we will randomly choose a lucky winner who receives one of our releases of his/her choice.
Please send your answers by the end of this month to competition AT 2ndrec DOT com. Good luck!
Update: The contest is closed, the correct answer is: Giardini di Mirò (original) and Apparat (remix). Tim from Berlin is the lucky winner. Congratulations!
Props to Andrea, Rene, Alexander, Chris and Marcus (who all knew the answer). Thanks to everyone who participated. A new contest is on the way, so stayed tuned.

People often ask us, if we still have some copies left of our very first release, the Giardini di Miró vs. Pimmon 10″, or the double 10″ vinyl edition of the first Giardini di Mirò full-length album (which was released on the 2nd rec predecessor fiction.friction). Unfortunately we don’t, except for our own personal copies which we wouldn’t sell for any money in the world. Both records were only printed in limited quantities of less then 500 copies and have been sold out for years. For those of you who are desperately seeking to get hold of those releases, these eBay auctions may be interesting for you:
“gdm vs pmn” - 10″
“Rise and Fall of Academic Drifting” - 2×10″
Btw, we’ve just received a few more copies of the brandnew Giardini di Mirò 7″ for sale in our mailorder. Only 300 copies have been made, so if you are interested in these you better buy them now.
Update: The gdm vs pmn 10″ (2ND001) was sold for 46.50 Euro. That’s probably more than the total profit we’ve made with this release.

Hauling 1017 CDs up to the 3rd floor is not fun, but if they look and sound that beautiful, it’s worth all the pain.

A new EP by Amanda Rogers. Five tracks including two cover versions of At the Drive-In and Radiohead. Comes in an all-white jewel case and with liner notes and lyrics sheet.
