The vinyl LP of Giardini di Mirò’s third full-length album is currently manufactured and we are expecting these traesures to arrive here within the next few days.
There will be two versions: a limited edition of 200 red vinyl records that come with an extra CD of the album (the CD is slipped into the LP sleeve, it’s NOT the regular digipack version) and the standard version on black vinyl (without the CD).
You can now preorder the record from our mailorder. They will be send out as soon as we get them, which should be around September 20th.
The CD version of the album has already been released in Italy by Homesleep Music and should now be also available in other european countries. We will have some copies in our mailorder soon.

Good news! Nitrada has been invited to play a liveshow at this year’s seefa festival near Berlin. We’re looking forward to meet you there (on Saturday, June 23rd), it’s for free and the idea is stunning:
Sinnbus SEEFA, issue #5. Amidst jagged and sober architecture, we find a glow hovering above the water. Music resounds inside and all around it. It encapsules the performers inside, it invites audiences to have their way: Take part in the inside intimacies or savor the alienation outside. The glow’s heart is mirrored on its exterior shell - cut-up imagery, abstract streams, a free, autonomous visual equal to the sounds and the music.
For the fifth time, sinnbus invites you to witness SEEFA - our treasured, special and unique festival in the singular, balky setting of Berlin’s FEZ. Here, in the Kleines Forum, music exists in the two extremes of performance - the complete separation from the audience on the one hand, and the direct and immediate experience of sharing one moment and one point in space on the other. A closed room floating on the water basin’s surface gives the performers the freedom to work and play with each other, and eliminates the need to direct their performance towards their audience. At the same time, the listeners may cross the stage’s borders and share this intimate situation. Or they may decide to stay outside, where the music gets caught within buildings, and where all events become visual, edited and alienated and released as video projections.

Telefon Tel Aviv’s remix for Nitrada’s “Fading Away”, originally released on the ‘Four Remixes’ 12″, is now also appearing on ‘Remixed Compiled’, a - guess what! - remix compilation from Telefon Tel Aviv. Other artists on this CD: Apparat, American Analog Set, Phil Ranelin, Bebel Gilberto, John Hughes, Nine Inch Nails and a few more. Out now on Hefty records.
Alias has also just put out a remix compilation and one of the 11 tracks is Giardini di Mirò’s ‘Given Ground’ which originally appeared on ‘North Atlantic Treaty of Love, Pt. 2′. Click here for more information.
Christophe and I will do a presentation at the TYPO tomorrow (friday). Our presentation will be mainly about music software interfaces we’ve done at our design studio, but we’ll also talk a little bit about 2nd rec and Nitrada.
When people send emails asking if you still exist, you know that it’s about time to update your website. To everybody wondering: Yes, we are still alive. Yes, 2nd rec still exists.
So why the lack of updates? Well, if you’ve got some time, I’ll tell you:
During the last six years since Christophe and I started 2nd rec together, the label has evolved, the music industry has been shaken up and last not least our personal lives have changed. At some point we’ve felt, that things don’t work out anymore. We came to a point where we’ve realized that running the label wasn’t as satisfying as it used to be.
Things are busy here and there are so many news we’d like to share with you – but until we do, you can kill some time by playing this little memory game.

Giardini di Mirò are on the cover of this months issue of Rockerilla, an italian music magazine. That’s because their upcoming album is fucking awesome!
