“Matters Of Love And Death”, the first solo-album by Corrado Nuccini, is out now. You can buy it directly from our mailorder or from the fine online shops listed in the sidebar of this page. All tracks are also available at the iTunes Music Store.
Here’s a little appetizer for you:
Nuccini! “Your Father’s Head” (4:24 min, 5.1 mb)
Some press quotes:
“Corrado Nuccini hat die beste Anticon-Platte aufgenommen, die nicht auf Anticon erschienen ist… eine der spannendsten europäischen HipHop-Platten.”
“Corrado Nuccini recorded the best Anticon record, which hasn’t been released on Anticon… one of the most exciting european hip hop records” (Intro)
“aufregend, in den besten Momenten visionär, langfristig unterhaltsam.”
“exciting, visionary in its best moments and entertaining in the long run.” (ugrap.de)
“Ein furioses Album, das allen HipHop Konservativen in den Hintern tritt und alle Indiebands aufrütteln sollte. Musik kann so wundervoll sein, Nuccini erinnert uns daran. Fulminantes Debut!”
“A passionate album - a kick in the ass for hip hop conservatives and a wake up call for all indiebands. Music can be so wonderful - Nuccini reminds us of this. Amazing debut.” (De-Bug)
For the Nitrada show I was invited to play together with Finn in beautiful Carpi/Italy, I wanted to prepare some older songs. To not bore the audience (or myself?) with dusty tunes, I was thinking about refreshing them a bit. The result was a remixed/mashed up version of Sky Was Blue from my 0+ EP. It got a new beat, a new bassline and the raps of the song Banned from Poland by Zucchini Drive from their Being Kurtwood LP (their original version contains beats by B.Fleischmann).
Get the MP3 here, but please note this was only intented for live usage, so the mix is not really optimized and it is not mastered:
Nitrada vs. Zucchini Drive – Sky Was Blue (revisited) – 4:32 – 5,2 MB

Hooray, the CDs and LPs of “Matters of Love and Death” just arrived.
There are two different LP versions - white vinyl (limited to 200 copies) and regular black vinyl. Both LP versions, as well as the CD, come with a 12 page booklet (click “read on” to have a glimpse at the whole booklet).
The record will be out on 8th September. We’ll start to take preorders in the next few days.
Yesterday we went to Bologna and listened to the recordings of the new Giardini di Mirò album, tentatively called “Dividing Opinions”. It’ll be sooooooo good.

We are delighted to announce the new solo album by Giardini di Mirò guitarist Corrado Nuccini.
“Matters Of Love And Death” will be released on 8th September.
Here’s the press release. More infos and mp3 previews soon.

If you got one of our stickers applied to your laptop, bike, door, fridge, forehead, bumper or anywhere else, please make a photo and send it to us. We’ll post them here.
Everybody who sends in a photo gets a 1 euro discount at our online shop and enters a contest to win some records from us. What are you waiting for?
The vinyl release of Giardini di Mirò’s new EP seems to be under a bad spell. First all the sleeves got destroyed and yesterday we’ve learned that 110 copies (of 550) got lost in the mail. We hope that these records will surface soon, but until then there’s a little shortage in the supply.
We’ve had about 290 copies (another 260 sleeves will be printed this week), 220 were send to the distributor, but only 110 arrived. Those are already shipped to various foreign distributors and probably made their way to the record stores.
So if you can’t find the record anywhere, please be a little patient. We’ll have more copies within the next weeks. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can also order directly from us. We’ve got a few more copies here to sell.
To those who own a copy: When you’ve got that record on your turntable, when you hold the handprinted sleeve in your hand, please remember all the sweat and pain involved in the making. It’ll make it even more precious.
Here’s a free mp3 from the new Giardini di Mirò EP “North Atlantic Treaty of Love”:
Giardini di Mirò “Othello” (mp3, 160 kbps, 6.50 mb)
With a straight 4/4 kickdrum, a grooving synth bass and guitarist Jukka Reverberi singing for the first time, “Othello” sounds quite different than anything from their previous releases. But although this song introduces a lot of new elements to the shimmering sound cosmos of Giardini di Mirò, the underlying guitar harmonies are unmistakable.
We hope you like the song. Feel free to pass it to your friends or link it from your website/blog.

Part two of Giardini di Mirò’s double EP “North Atlantic Treaty Of Love” is now available. Although we’ve had some problems in the making of this record, we’ve managed to get it done in time. The silkscreened sleeves look amazing and the vinyl sounds superb… we can’t be more happy with the result.
Like the first 12″, the second part is also strictly limited to just 550 numbered copies.
For those without a record player we’ve also released a CD with all songs from both EPs (info below).
CD and 12″ are now available from our mailorder. We’ve also got a few copies of the first EP left, so if you want one of those you better hurry up.
