Label Notes 11/25

Label Notes 11/25

Johannes Schardt

I skipped the October note. There wasn't that much happening that I could have talked about, so I started to write down some general thoughts about my experience with running a label in 2025. But I didn't finish, because there was another writing project I'd started that I was much more excited about.
I like writing, but I don't have much practice doing it. It's really tough for me and it takes ages. Still, I enjoy it – probably precisely because it is the right kind of difficulty.

This piece I've started working on is for an upcoming release. It took me back to the late '90s, revisiting the early days of 2nd rec and even its predecessor, fiction.friction. Might have something to do with this mysterious announcement.

What else? Christophe has been busy organizing a little Advent market in the gym of our old school building. The tenants will sell and showcase their products, and there will be food and drinks. We'll also be offering our records, so if you're in Hamburg on the 6th/7th of December, come by and say hello.

We also worked on some t-shirt designs that we hope to print soon. Expect them to drop at the beginning of the new year.
